"It has been identified that there is a need to recruit volunteers to support the running of groups and social activities across the Borough. We know that there are people looking for opportunities to volunteer, but are not aware of the diverse range of opportunities available. Therefore, GAVO and the Integrated Wellbeing Network are organising two meet and greet events, one in Brynmawr and one in Tredegar, where organisations will have the opportunity to promote their volunteering opportunities activities and hopefully recruit new volunteers to support.

 

The events are being held between 10am and 1pm (set up from 9.30am) on the following dates:

 

10^th August – Tredegar – Stocktonville Senior Citizens Hall

17^th August – Brynmawr – Tabor Centre

 

Spaces are limited and space will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Please note these events are aiming to recruit volunteers and aimed at those predominantly operating in the towns of Tredegar or Brynmawr or Blaenau Gwent wide. If demand is greater than the space we have available, we will look at holding further events."
